Does It Really Work…or The Tale of Two Knee Braces

As anyone who knows me will tell you, I have really bad knees. It has something to do with my general DNA, but when I was 20 I was told I was going to need knee replacements by the time I was 25. I am also a stubborn woman and refused to get the knee replacements. I now live and die by the amazing knee braces I find in the world. Luckily, braces have gotten better over the years and I only have to replace them every few years. Unfortunately, this just happened to be the year I needed to replace one of them.

I found this amazing brace at CVS last weekend and bought it at full price. I know, it’s against my cardinal rules, but sometimes you have to do what you have to do. I fell in love with it and wanted to get a second one so I could have the matched set (did I mention that I am OCD…LOL).

Here is the comparisons:

The original purchase is on the right…I spent almost $40 for a knee brace. Yes, my heart hurt, but we do what we must for bad knees.

The second purchase (on the left) shows where I spent almost $27 out of pocket and got a $5 ECB back for my next purchase.

Is this a HUGE savings? No, not HUGE, but it is $13 that I didn’t have to spend on my second purchase and was able to apply to other things. I don’t know about you, but $13 in my world pays for my coffee addiction.
